Get down. Get dirty. USA
No idea what to expect, just barged in. The salt flats in Badwater Basin cover nearly 200 square miles and are among the lowest terrains worldwide. The sole of my boot came straight off after this, the glue that kept the Vibram sole attached didn’t stand a chance. Check out my awesome trip to the USA.
Semana Blanca.
Did a little drive through Spain, just before the world came to a stop due to Covid-19. Visited friends and family in Zaragoza, Aranjuez, Toledo, Madrid, Segovia, Valladolid and in the Cantabrian mountains, where we did some hiking as well. Great trip, longing back to it. At the time of writing, we are in the 6th week of complete lockdown.
Back to 2009.
The good old days. With my buddy Menzo, we did an amazing trip to the northern part of Sulawesi, to Bangka Island. Nothing but diving and fun. And food poisoning from fish, that was some nasty stuff. Still, that’s easily forgotten when you stick your head under water over there.

Another one with ‘the Tuinkaboutert’, this time to Moalboal on the island of Cebu in the Philippines. Highly recommended stay at Magic Island Dive resort, great diving, sweet cocktails and interesting authentic Philippine culture.
